Spring Break in Mallorca: Day 2

Spring Break in Mallorca: Day 2

Day 2 we decided to follow some scenic routes around Mallorca.

Our first route was from our hotel through Manacor.

We spontaneously stopped in a random town because we thought the weather was nice and we saw a nearby beach. We walked through the sand too these two stone spits. Going back over our route on Google Maps I couldn’t find the exact name for the location but the name of the waterway was Canal de Siurana next to the Playa Muro and by the Parc Natural de s’Albufera de Mallorca. We didn’t stop by the park we only went by the beach and walked around the rocks for a while.

From that quick stop we drove to Cala Figuera.

We parked our car in a rough and rocky parking lot then took the well-used hiking trail down to the rocky inlet. The water was teal blue and gorgeous.

The entire area was one desktop screensaver after another, but the views did come with a price. The hike down was fairly easy with only minor slips here and there on loose dirt being an issue, but the hike up, now that is the price you have to pay for the great pictures.

After climbing the mountain back up to our car, we continued our drive to our final destination, Cap de Formentor.

After passing what felt like a million bicyclers, we finally we ended up at the Cap de Formentor.

After we finished taking photos at Cap we started craving paella. We drove to a nearby restaurant called Tolo’s to get some and it was by far some of the best paella I have ever had. We ordered, and they made enough for the number of people ordering it. However, they’re version of two servings was more like four and Andy and I took the rest to go.

That’s all for day 2! I’m sorry that this series is taking so long to write but now that all the photos are edited I’ll try to get the rest of them done sooner! Stay tuned for Andy and I’s day trip to Barcelona on Day 3!
